More than sixteen years of experience in microfinance / micro credit and micro enterprise field, including Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) establishment and oversight, management, design, implementation, Management Information Systems (MIS), technical assistance, grants to microfinance institutions in many areas such as: grants presentation, grants monitoring and evaluation, portfolio management, performance reporting, management, training needs, design, implement and leading study tours in microfinance, technical advise to the board of directors and Executive Directors in different areas such as recruitment of loan officers and key people, business plans, polices, procedures …etc, evaluation of microfinance institutions, backward linkages, credit bureau, business planning, design and implement Microfinance training programs in the Middle east.
Experience with local and International NGOs, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), and Government Organizations (GOs), Local and International donors such as UN/UNRWA-Jordan, USAID, EU, ODA, AGFUND, ALJ-Grameen and CGAP regional initiatives and CIDA to address international best practices of sustainable microfinance. Extensive experience with USAID, including coordination of multi-stakeholder of microfinance in Jordan. Served as Microfinance Institutions (MFI) Projects Manager for AMIR Program / USAID funded program in Jordan up to January 8th 2004.
Speaker, moderator, facilitator and organizer number of microfinance/micro credit local, regional and international conferences and events including business development activities. A native Arabic speaker also speaks fluent English. Director and founder of Abdul Latif Jameel / Grameen Micro-Credit Program, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (Jan. 2004 – May 2005), currently serving as a Microfinance Advisor to Abdul Latif Jameel Company (ALJ) including / Grameen – ALJ Pan Arab Initiative.
