Mrs. Hiba Qasas Barakat is the Programme Officer for the Sustainable Human Development Unit in the UNDP/PAPP. She plays a key role in programming, relationship management and resource mobilizing for UNDP , she currently manages the Deprived families Economic Empowerment Program a million USD for micro and small enterprise development . Mrs. Barakat managed a multi million portfolio of projects in education, youth empowerment and women empowerment in UNDP and previously worked as the Director of External Relations and international Cooperation Department for the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees-PARC –and served several senior positions in different institutions.

Mrs. Barakat pertain an intensive working experience in international cooperation and development; poverty eradication methods and policies, micro finance, private sector and SME’s development and development programming.

Born in Nablus City in the West Bank. Mrs. Barakat had her Msc. Degree in International Cooperation and development from The University of PAVIA – Italy, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, she designed and conducted several training courses and workshops for Palestinian and international NGOs in the field of strategic planning and Programming, and participated in international and regional conferences.
