PlaNet Finance is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims to alleviate poverty worldwide through the development of microfinance. By providing financial access to the poorest populations, financial intermediaries, among which banks, cooperatives, Non-Governmental Organizations ( NGOs ) and Microfinance Institutions ( MFIs ) have been proving for thirty years that they constitute one of the most effective tool to fight poverty.
PlaNet Finance supports these financial intermediaries and increases their growth by federating them and providing operational services which enable them to strengthen their technical capacities and financial resources.
PlaNet Finance also works with the private sector (banks and financial institutions), governments and international organizations in order to increase microfinance sustainability.

PlaNet Finance, based in Paris (France), has developed operations in more than 60 countries and has established an international network of affiliated offices in Europe (United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Portugal), the United States of America, Latin America (Mexico, Brazil), Asia (India, China, Japan), Africa (Morocco, Senegal, Benin) and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
PlaNet Finance supports the development of microfinance through a number of activities to strengthen the whole sector, governments and policy makers, or directly MFIs.

PlaNet Finance UAE contributes to PlaNet Finance’s mission by raising funds for PlaNet Finance programs, building awareness on microfinance in the United Arab Emirates and in the Middle East.

PlaNet Finance UAE is getting its support from private and public donations (corporations, foundations…) to implement Microfinance programs in the MENA region. In particular in the UAE and the neighboring countries, PF UAE aims at developing projects to encourage individuals - especially young people – to become productive citizens of their societies.

PlaNet Finance UAE has started its operations in January 2005, and is registered at Dubai Aid and Humanitarian City

About the Mohamed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, launched on June 12, 2002 is the first initiative of the Dubai Development and Investment Authority and is chaired by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Al Maktoum. The vision of the Establishment is to nurture the domestic entrepreneurial spirit in Dubai and catalyze the development and growth of a key sector of the economy, the Small and Medium Business sector. To this end, the Establishment offers various incentive measures and well co-ordinated programs to the local business community. The services of the SME extend to both entrepreneurs with an existing business and budding entrepreneurs
